Jeanette Peters

Jeanette first became involved with Habitat for Humanity in New Brunswick when she participated in a Collegiate Challenge trip through Mount Allison University. The experience was incredibly eye-opening for her. When she moved back to Halifax she applied as a volunteer and began on the Fund Development committee at the beginning of 2006.

Through the Fund Development committee, Jeanette met another student who was interested in starting a Habitat for Humanity chapter at Dalhousie University. The two of them began the chapter for the 2006-2007 school year and are currently planning a Collegiate Challenge trip to Georgia for February 2007.

Jeanette was approached by Ali to join the Board of Directors in August 2006 as a youth representative from the Dalhousie Habitat chapter. She is currently a fourth year student at Dal, finishing up a double major in International Development and Comparative Religion.
