Lyla Hage
Lyla has been involved
with Habitat for Humanity since '04 when she participated in her first
Global Village trip to Nicaragua to help build 400 sq. foot houses in a
local village. This trip forever changed her outlook on life and increased
her desire to become more involved with Habitat for Humanity locally and
internationally.
Since then, Lyla has participated in Global Village trips to El Salvador
in April '06 and an upcoming trip to Malaysia in November '06. Locally
Lyla is involved in the Site Selection committee and participated in the
'06 Build on Broom Road in Dartmouth. Her involvement in Habitat for
Humanity has changed how she views the world and she is extremely grateful
and humbled to be involved in such an important cause that truly changes
lives.
Lyla has a background in marketing and communications, working in Toronto
for several years for a financial institution. She went back to school to
study interior design and is now using those talents and skills in her
family business as a designer and realtor. In her spare time, Lyla enjoys
travelling, reading, spending time with family and friends and being
physically active.
