Shona Chaisson

Shona joins us from the staffing industry where she has spent over 10 years. Starting off her career supplying contract employees and professional administrative support to the oil and gas industry of Aberdeen, Scotland.


Once returning to Nova Scotia in 1999 she then found herself furthering her HR experience by taking on the role of Recruitment Coordinator within a new publications company with two locations both in Halifax and Dartmouth. Hiring a staggering 500 individuals over 2 year, to ensure full capacity off all projects.


From there she then took on the role with a local employment agency, within two months of her start date she was promoted to temporary & permanent recruiter. With this position Shona oversaw all industrial, bilingual call center staffing requirements as well as administrative positions, as an additional task she also over saw all Occupational Health & Safety for all internal and external employees, which she enjoyed very much.


Shona goal is to assist in the growth of Habitat for Humanity HRM in any way necessary.
