• What’s New?

  • Do you like to paint, clean or organize??? We need you!!
    Thanks to dedicated volunteers, our build in Sackville is almost done. However, we're not there yet and need some support for the finiishing touches. From July 21-24, we will be completing a variety of jobs including touch-up painting, trim and fixtures, cleaning the house and organizing / packing the materials trailer. If you are available for even an hour or two during this time, contact Mary Elizabeth at volunteer@habitathrm.com. Join the fun - and bring a friend.

  • SACKVILLE DEDICATION - Celebrating our 25th Home
    Join us for the dedication of the 25th Habitat HRM home at the build site - 68 Larrigan Drive, Millwoods, Lower Sackville. The dedication will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 26, 2008.
     
  • NEW DATES ANNOUNCED FOR SPRYFIELD BUILD
    The Spryfield Build has been postponed and is now scheduled to begin on Monday, September 15, 2008. We will be scheduling some Saturdays during the build. Scheduling of volunteers will begin in mid-July. Watch here for more details coming soon.

• ONGOING BUILD VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
  We have an ongoing need for Site Support volunteers and Crew Leaders for both the Sackville and Spryfield build.  To learn more, contact Mary Elizabeth at volunteer@habitatHRM.com
  

Site Support
Site Support team members set up and manage the site, orient volunteers, organize people, refreshments and materials - and generally support the day-to-day on-site operations.

Crew Leaders
Crew Leaders are required to have some experience with construction and with Habitat sites. They are responsible for leading teams of 4-6 people under the direction of the Construction Manager. Orientation is available.

Current First Aid certification is an asset for either of these positions.
